Mary Higgins Clark- A long time Favorite
One of the authors I grew up reading was Mary Higgins Clark. Although her books do not have a particular "series" to them, they always have the quality I want in a book. A good heroine and a little of the mushy stuff. I have read almost every book she has published at least twice in my life time, some quite a few times more. She has published oodles of books. Check her out if you enjoy a good mystery, with amazing plots, twists and suspense.

Sidney Sheldon
This is another author I started reading as a youngster. The first book I read from him was Master of The Game, after that I was hooked. He also provided a look into the power of a female as Mary Higgins Clark does. This book is about the adventures of Jamie McGregor on his hunt for diamonds. Greed got the better of him though. His daughter Kate took over his massive corporate company and proceeds to make it bigger and better and richer. If you like adventure with unexpected twists, plots that surprise, power, money and romance then this is the book for you.
Unfortunately Mr. Sheldon passed away in 2007. You can go to the link below and see his many accomplishments. His first endeavors were in TV with shows like "I dream of Jennie".
I will miss his books. I have them all and they are worse for the wear.

I have read and reread this book until the cover has started to fall off. I have to say it is up there with one of my all time favorites. It's about a young girl, the murder or her father, and the peculiar incidences that happen after his death. It's a little voodoo, a little magic, and a little scary. It is a collaboration between to authors, Tabitha King (Stephen King's wife, no less) and Michael McDowell. Unfortunately Michael passed before the book was finished and we owe the completion not only to Mrs. King but to Michael's partner and family. If you have a chance, pick it up. It's another one of those page turners!!

Ah, here is another one of my most recently acquired favorite authors, not that I acquired the writer herself, just her books. I am absolutely hooked on the FBI Series with characters Savich and Sherlock (not the one with the pipe and hat). The characters are so well written they become very real to you, they almost begin to feel like your friends. You actually go though their emotions, feel what they feel. Trust me, if you like fast paced, hard hitting, kick you in the teeth books, then this is the series for you. And there's nothing like a good love story either. But you will have to read them to find out. have read almost every book in the FBI Thriller Series, and the ones I have not read, I am searching high and low for.

For those of you that are into forensics, you should meet Eve Duncan, I believe you will find this series particular book extremely enticing. Matter of fact, they are non-stop page turners, I didn't get enough sleep kinda books. In Quicksand, we get a glimpse of a woman named Megan Blair, who is just a mystery at best. In Pandora's Daughter, we get to meet Megan and get to know her history. who she is and what she is all about. In Pandora's Daughter, is, in a sense, a kind of "follow-up" to Quicksand, although it is not in the Eve Duncan series. I highly suggest reading Iris Johansen's books and enjoying the characters of Eve Duncan and Quinn, plus may more.

I stumbled onto Sandra Brown's books about two years ago. I was looking for a new arthur and her book stood out to me like a beacon in the night. I don't even remember what that first book was, but I have been hooked ever sense. I love that her books are based in the south, and I particularly enjoy her New Orleans and, of course, Texas, books. The dialogue is so well written, you can actually here the southern accents as you read her books. Her characters are also very welled laid out, so you have no problem visualizing them in your minds-eye. And there's also a little love story in most every book. Who could ask for anything better?
William P. Young
This is not a complete work of fiction. Meaning some of the events that occur can prove true in your life. It is a religious book. It's basis is on on God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. A heart renching story of a man who losses his youngest daughter, Missy. I read the book, and laughed and cried and sobbed and smiled. If you like a good feeling story or you need to feel closer to your God then I highly recommend this book.

This is another wonderful arthur I simply happen chanced on, as I did Sandra Brown. Like some off my other favorite writers she has a couple of series mixed in with her writings. The first book in one of my most enjoyed series is "A Woman of Substance", it is about a woman, born in poverty, who has a plan to take over the world. We get to meet her best friend, Blackie, a character you will love instantly, as well as many other notable characters in these books. Ms. Bradford is another writer who portrays strong self dependant women in her books. The other series starts out with "The Ravenscar Dynasty", what a bunch of animated characters we get to meet in this book. Vibrant, full of life, tormented and driven. Barbara Taylor Bradford has strong story lines, unexpected twists, and books that you just can't put down. If you haven't read anything by her I recommended you do. Start out with either one of the series, you won't be disappointed.
